Grace Haven
The children living on the streets in the slums of Kampala are like wildflowers, born to bloom in the most unlikely places. They struggle and fight to survive in the harshest conditions, without love or nurturance. We see their potential and we believe that they can overcome the impossible. Where wildflowers bloom, so does hope. That is why we have kicked off our wildflower campaign, focused on opening a drop-in shelter for street children. The shelter will be called Grace Haven and will provide a place for children to receive medical care when they are sick, a warm meal and a safe place to sleep. Even more importantly, Grace Haven will provide hope and a positive connection to adults that will allow options for permanency to be explored with the ultimate goal of getting all of the children off of the streets. Thank you for joining us in our efforts to give the wildflowers on the streets of Kampala a safe place to bloom.
