What a Journey We’ve Shared!
Our Child Sponsorship Program (CSP) was created in October 2009 after seeing the great need for children in Karatu, Tanzania to have access to early English-language education. Over the last 16+ years, Journeys of Solutions (JOS) has come alongside and supported more than 20 hard-working students in their educational endeavors.
We have journeyed with our students from primary and secondary school, to vocational programs and higher educational courses in college and university, too! Many came from Shalom Orphanage Centre, and as the students reached eighteen years of age and began living independently, our focus became two-fold: their advanced educational endeavors and their transitions to adulthood.*
Today, our CSP is in its bittersweet season of sunsetting our work, as our youngest student is soon completing his final year of university degree studies! By 2027, eighteen years from its inception, our CSP will complete its ambitious mission!

*Although JOS cannot assume guardianship for any of the supported students, we remain committed to identifying mentors and organizations that can come alongside our students as they transition from their educational endeavors. In fact, upon completing their advanced studies, eligible students can receive a one-time transition gift to help them get settled into the next stage of life.
